See your brick-flick on the big screen!

Contestants will get a chance to have their work judged by pre-eminent animators, with the finalist selected by two-time Academy Award-nominee Bill Plympton. Finalists will receive prizes from LEGO Group and have their works screened at Build-A-Brickbuster Pixelfest.

Saturday, August 13 2 p.m. BEST OF THE BRICKS: a survey of the seminal works from the genre, including "Camelot" that appeared on the Monty Python: Holy Grail DVD, the educational film "Drugs are Like That," the first LEGO movie ever made, "The Magic Portal" and some other groundbreaking brick works.

BUILD-A-BRICKBUSTER AWARDS: A screening of the finalists and winners of the contest. Prizes will also be handed out for best buildings in Joanna Town, and others raffled off to attendees.

Sunday, August 14 1-4 p.m. BRICK FLICK BUILD - ASIFA teaches you how to animate your own brick flick.
2011-08-17 Build-a-brickbuster
5 p.m. TINSEL TOYS: Screening of the workshop and works by ASIFA-Colorado, plus Barbie films, brick flicks and other toy-centric cinema. Gio Tinonelo, organizer of GI Joe Fest, will show a selection of past festivals.

Joanna Town

In conjunction with the Pixelfest, there was the Joanna Town Fundraiser for the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado. Members of the public purchased lots to display their buildings made from LEGO bricks to be judged for prizes.
